See the Light

“See the Light” is an appropriate first post. The phrase can have so many interpretations… as in, an “ah ha” moment when the lightbulb goes on, or to see the light at the end of the tunnel, or the beginning of an understanding, or having been in the dark about something and a new light being shed on the subject, or in the literal sense of seeing light… both figuratively and spiritually. Whatever the case, it is high time that we begin to see the incredible potentiality of dogs in our lifetime and society. We have not even begun to scratch the surface!

As my knowledge of dog behavior expands, I have come to learn that the human parent is always the one who find themselves traveling through some form of emotional transformation while learning how to commune and connect with their dogs. Often times the dogs are only searching out leadership while trying to cope with living in our human world, all the while doing so with grace, patience, curiosity, love and joy. We have so much to learn from our dogs, if we only slow down to listen to what they are saying… in dog speak. It is as much our responsibility to learn their language as is our expectations of them to learn ours.

As this blog grows and evolves, my hope is to post art relevant to shedding light upon an enlightened and informed brand of communication with our dogs.
